Developing familiar images into abstract compositions. Create a total of 5 different abstract images using 5 different recognizable photographs as a starting point. The images MUST BE COMPLETELY abstracted and not resemble the original starting image.

Step 1
Open Photoshop
Find a photo you might want to use and click on the photo. Use an picture of either a person or a landscape picture.
Download the largest version. It will be saved to the downloads folder on your computer. Open it up inside Photoshop
Step 3
With the photo open in Photoshop go to the Filter Menu > Distort
Step 4
Apply 5 or more DISTORTION FILTERS to this image. NOT JUST ONE!

You can also use other Filters such as various Blur filters and can change colors of the image under Image Menu > Adjust > Hue/Saturation > Colorize. The more the image is abstracted the better!

Also experiment with Filter > Liquify to pull, push, and smear the pixels from a realistic looking subject to a very abstract image.

When you are satisfied with the results click OK to apply the effects.
Step 8
*Save as YOUR LAST NAME_abstractimage-1 to the correct project folder (V:) drive for grading.
Step 9
Open a different image up and try other Distortion Filters along with other filters on this second image. Save as: Your Last Name_abstractimage-2 to the correct project folder (V:) drive for grading.
Repeat these steps for a total of 5 times using 5 different photographs with combinations of different filters to distort the image.
SAVE each differently Your Last Name_abstractimage-3, Your Last Name_abstractimage-4, and Your Last Name_abstractimage-3 to the correct project folder (V:) drive for grading.
